Ken Ichijouji is better known to the new Digi-Destined as the "Digimon Emperor". He believes that it is his destiny and right to rule the Digital World and all of its Digimon. He uses a Black Digivice, Evil Rings of control, and Dark Towers of power to put a lock on normal Digivolutions. Only the power of Digimental Armors can penetrate this lock and let Digimon digivolve. As long as his presence is felt through the Digital World, no Digimon is safe from his desire to enslave them. On the flip side, Ken Ichijouji is a genius in the real world and good at everything he does, from soccer to computer programming. He acts extremely obedient and well-behaved, but exteriors don't always reflect a person's true self. He is partnered with Wormmon, who is completely obedient to Ken, even though what he truly desires is to have a friendship with Ken like Davis does with Veemon.
